Mr. Baril's letter to Selectmen to "Re-open the investigation" based on newly discovered evidence that, proved beyond a doubt, Uxbridge Police Chief Freitas & the Town were liable for their actions - and the Town's own public records prove that! On Monday, 11/24/08, Selectmen only let Mr. Baril speak for 2 minutes during citizens forum, and they abruptly cut him off saying the 2 minutes was up & told him to sit down. They FAILED to even look at Mr. Baril's paperwork because they had already told Freitas, a few days prior, his citizen's complaints were being tossed out. No need to worry. So they ignored the Town's own evidence that showed he was guilty all along.

Letter Mr. Baril received from Uxbridge Town Counsel - Patrick Costello - the same guy who instructed the Selectmen at the 1st executive session to lie to residents of Uxbridge to only tell them "the BOS is looking into the matter and can take any course of action". So in the end, the Board advertised it publicly "no basis was established for further action"; hence dismissal of the citizen complaint. But, they KNEW all along Chief Freitas wrote a false letter to the Registry of Motor Vehicles, misusing police department letterhead, with the Town seal, but that part was never told to the general public.
Nor did they tell the general public citizen's tax dollars paid Town Counsel to provide Chief Freitas legal advice in a secret meeting (just prior to Mon, 8/25/08 executive session) - a secret meeting with Freitas, Patrick Costello, Town Manager Jill Myers and Freitas' lawyer - in the same room discussing Freitas' case before any selectmen arrived for the executive session which starts at 6pm.
